The Arab ICT Organization is operating within the framework of the Arab strategy of the information society, the recommendations of the Arab economic, social and development summits, besides the Millennium Development Goals and the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Given the rapid technological and digital transformations shaping the world, and in line with its commitment to adapting to global changes while maximizing the benefits of technology for Arab countries and citizens, AICTO has developed its new Strategic Vision 2030.
Aligning and unifying efforts to achieve digital development that comprehensively and equitably serves the Arab community by intelligently integrating smart technology into all aspects of life. This approach enhances security, promotes sustainability, and lays the foundation for Arab digital sovereignty.
This vision is based on 3 strategic pillars :
The Arab ICT Organization (AICTO), is one of the specialized Arab organizations working under the aegis of the League of Arab States. it was established in 2001 in accordance with the decision of the League of Arab States Council in its (116) meeting on 10/09/2001 and the decision of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States No. 1436 issued on 13/02/2002 at its (69) session.
The agreement of its establishment came into force on 17/09/2005, and it was amended in 2018 according to the Economic and Social Council decision of the League of Arab States No. 2194 – at its regular session (102) issued on 06/09/2018.
