Daniel del Valle Blanco is a Spanish jurist specialized in the international
arena, with a strong focus on youth, human rights, and global diplomacy.
With a background in international law, economics, climate change, and
European studies, Daniel has emerged as one of the youngest influential
voices in multilateral spaces.
He has served as Ambassador and Permanent Observer of the
International Youth Organization (OIJ) to the United Nations in New York,
and as Special Envoy for Youth of the Central American Parliament
(PARLACEN). He also chaired the UN-Habitat Youth Advisory Board and
has worked closely with several Permanent Missions to the UN, including
those of the Sovereign Order of Malta and the Slovak Republic, where he
served as Youth Policy Adviser.
Daniel has actively contributed to key UN processes, including the
implementation of the UN Youth Strategy 2030 and the negotiations for
the creation of the first United Nations Youth Bureau. As a firm advocate
for inclusion and human dignity, he was named High Representative for
Youth of the International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF), and
Ambassador for the “We Are All Migrants” Campaign of the Organization
of American States (OAS).
In the field of sustainable development, Daniel leads the Spanish arm of the
“Faith for the Earth” campaign by UNEP and collaborates with the United
Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) on its “For Safe Worship”
initiative. He has taken part in the 76th, 77th, 78th and 79th sessions of
the United Nations General Assembly, as well as the XXVIII Ibero-
American Summit in the Dominican Republic.
His academic background includes a law degree in international law from
the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), postgraduate studies in
economics from the University of Münster (Germany), a UN program in
International Law and Climate Change (UNEP FI), and a Master’s in
European Union and China studies from King Juan Carlos University
(URJC).
Daniel’s work has been recognized by prestigious institutions, including
NATO (Serge Lazareff Prize), the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain, the
Central American Parliament, the Andean Parliament, and the
governments of Panama and the Dominican Republic.
He has been a speaker at high-level events such as the Doha Forum, Our
Ocean Conference, Columbia University (Teachers College), and the
Ibero-American Congress on Diplomacy and International Relations
(CIBEI).
