Dr. Nadia Brahmi is Technology Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the GSMA, where she leads strategic regional programmes on future networks, AI, mobile money, financial inclusion and device identity that underpin the region’s emerging Intelligence Society. In this role, she works with mobile operators, regulators and ecosystem partners to develop interoperable, deployable solutions that enable digital transformation and regional economic growth. Through GSMA‑led initiatives, in‑market trials and regional working groups, she helps translate global standards into scalable AI‑enabled services, smart‑city deployments and cross‑border digital integration.
With more than 15 years’ experience across telecom R&D, automotive and consulting, Nadia has advanced innovations in connected vehicles, industrial automation and mission‑critical applications. At Ericsson and Bosch, she led early proof‑of‑concepts in private 5G, edge and low‑latency architectures and Industry 4.0, building a substantial IP portfolio. She has contributed to 3GPP and ETSI standardization, actively engaged with the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA), and holds 26 granted U.S. patents alongside numerous technical publications.
Her regional portfolio includes launching eSIM‑powered connected‑car services in Saudi Arabia, managing NEOM’s technology and digital‑infrastructure delivery, and shaping 5G, IoT and smart‑city strategies for leading MENA stakeholders.
Multilingual in Arabic, English, French and German, Nadia bridges research, standards and deployment, and, through her work at the GSMA, contributes to an ecosystem where Arab countries—and Arab women in advanced technology domains—can play a central role in AI‑driven innovation.
